Aladağlar – Küçük Demirkazık Kuzey Duvarında Yeni Rota

Partnerim Nurettin Özcan ile beraber, Aladağların en sağlam kayaya sahip Küçük Demirkazık zirvesinin (3425 m) kuzey duvarında, 11 ağustos 2007 tarihinde yeni bir rota açtık (500 m, UİAA IV+, VII+, 9 ip boyu, TD+ alpin derece). Duvarın pek bilinmeyen sağ tarafında derin bir kulvar hattını izleyen ve kuzeybatı sırtına çıkan rotayı, dostumuz Kürşat Avcı’nın ardından ‘Avcı’ olarak adlandırdık. Rota hattı gayet net ve kaya son derece sağlam. Resimdeki sarı rota hattı 2003 yılında Efecan Aytemiz ile çıktığımız klasik kuzey duvarını gösterirken, kırmızı hat ‘Avcı’ rotasını belirtmektedir.

A NEW ROUTE ON THE NORTH WALL OF KUCUK DEMİRKAZİK (3425 m)

At 11th august 2007, we made a new route on the north wall of Kucuk Demirkazık (3425 m) in the Aladag, wşth my partner Nurettin Ozcan. The route featured excellent rock and it followed the right hand side of this wide rock face.   General grade is alpine TD+ with UİAA grade of IV+ VII+ with 9 pitches of climbing. The crux is a slightly overhanging crack with bad protection and in general, climbing is enjoyable.  On the picture, the yellow line demonstrates the 2003 route (Findik/Aytemiz) while the red line shows our new route. We named the route ‘Avci’ after our beloved friend Kürsat Avci.
