ANTALYA’DA YENİ ÇOK İP BOYLU GELENEKSEL ROTA ‘PUNİSHER’

Geçen hafta, 4  nisan 2015 tarihinde  arkadaşım Rauf Osman Pınarbaşı ile  Antalya- Sivridağ’da yeni, çok ip boylu bir geleneksel rota tırmandık; ‘Punisher’.  Sivridağ doğu yüzündeki belirgin ‘su damlası slab’ını çıkan  bu rota  10 ip boyu, 450m kadar uzunlukta, geneli V, V+ derecelerde ve VI, VI+ derece kilite sahip, güzel ve sağlam kayada bir tırmanış oldu. Her ip boyunda ‘kaya nasıl bu kadar sağlam olur?’ dedirten rotayı 5.5 saatte tırmandık, aynı rotadan 7 ip boyu inişle zemine  geri indik. Kısacası zevkli  bir çıkıştı. Tek sorun, bu kadar sağlam kayayı başka yerde nasıl bulacağız?:-)

A NEW ROUTE AT THE EAST FACE OF SİVRİDAG, ANTALYA

Last week,  with my friend Rauf O. Pınarbası, by 4th april 2015, we climbed a new multi pitch traditional  route at the east face of Sivridag, in Antalya, by Mediterranean Sea. We named the route  ‘Punisher’; it is  450m and 10 pitches long, mostly on  beautiful water worn slabs, very sharp holds and grey colored walls with good belays.  General difficulty is grade V, with two pitches of VI, with a crux of VI+. The route follows the natural line that climbs the so-called ‘teardrop-shaped slab’ and offers good, enjoyable and exposed climbing all the way, with two  terraces in between, finally ending on  the top of a detached tower.
