NANGA PARBAT (8125 m) tırmanışı başlıyor!

Yeryüzündeki en yüksek 9. zirve olan, Pakistan’ın Nanga Parbat Dağı (8125 m) için yola çıkıyorum. Değişik milletlerden dağcılarla yapacağım bu tırmanış 40 gün kadar sürecek. Nanga Parbat, zirvesine ulaşırsam benim için de sihirli bir rakam, yani çıktığım 10. 8000’lik zirve olacak!

Hermann Buhl’un ilk çıkışından, Reinhold Messner’in tırmanış hikayelerine dek  hikayeler ve efsanelerle süslü olan ‘Çıplak Dağ’ Nanga Parbat’a Diamir (batı) yüzü, Kinshofer duvarından tırmanacağız. Ana kampı yeşil düzlüklerde, 4500 metrede olan rotada, en yükseği 7300 metrelerde olan 4 yüksek kamp var. Rotamız oldukça teknik: öncelikle Loewe  buz kulvarı (50-55 derece eğimli buz) ve  Kinshofer kaya  duvarı (V+ derece kaya tırmanışı) ardından buzlu ve kayalık sırtlardan  Nanga Parbat’ın zirvesine uzanan dik ve miks zemin.

Tırmanış için 7 haziran günü Türkiye’den Pakistan’a, İslamabad’a uçacağım.

NANGA PARBAT  (8125 m) TAKES A START!

İ will be climbing at Pakistan’s famous Mt. Nanga Parbat (8125 m), starting 8th june, 2013.  This  ascent  will definitely last for 40 days or so. Nanga Parbat is a truly magic mountain for myself, as well as the magic number if i do summit– it will be my 10th 8000 m peak in total!

A historical  mountain of  triumph and tragedy since the start, beginning  with the German attempts in 30’s, Herman Buhl’s victorious first ascent and Messner brothers’ stories,  we will attempt this mountain of fairies, ‘the naked mountain’ by its west flank, Diamir face, Kinshofer route. The base camp is in the lush green meadows by 4000 m, and the route is quite long, steep  and technical: the Loewe ice gully, the vertical and exposed Kinshofer rock wall and the continuation of icy, mixed crags to the summit. We will be using 4 high camps on the route, the highest being around 7200 m or so.
